Katha's Survey

I got this survey on a notecard in SL, and liked it.

What is your occupation?
Mom

How many items in your Second Life inventory?
I just threw out over 1,000. I'm down to 7,505, and still working on getting it down lower.

What are you listening to right now?
The hum of my computer and every so often, my daughter exclaiming how cute whatever furry little animal she is looking at at the time. (Last one was an angora bunny.)

What was the last thing you ate?
A sandwich and a handful of dried cranberries

Can you drive a stick shift?
Sure can.

If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
If I were a crayon, I couldn't type.

Last person you spoke to on the phone?
My mom.

Do you like the person whom sent you this?
Sure!

How old are you today?
In SL, or in RL?

Favourite drink?
Red Wine, unsweetened iced tea, COFFEEEEEEEE!!!!!

What's your favourite sport to watch?
Beach Volleyball

Have you ever dyed your hair?
Colored, yes, dyed, no.

Pets?
Not anymore

Favorite food?
Italian

Last movie you watched?
In the theater, Get Smart, on DVD, I think it was Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. The kids had a three night film festival of sorts. It was quite enjoyable.

Favourite day of year?
Thanksgiving or Christmas, any day that the family gets together.

What do you do to vent your anger?
Depends, sometimes I rant, or sometimes I cry. Sometimes both.

What was your favourite toy as a child?
I depends on the stage of life. When I was very small, I had a stuffed elephant I loved, there was also a Baby Secret that my sister told me was alive. Then there were Barbie dolls. Second Life is like playing Barbie dolls, only with better wardrobes. Guess I still love playing Barbie!

Ditto

This morning

When was the last time you cried?
I'm drawing a blank.

What is on the floor of your closet?
I don't even wanna look.

Who is the friend you have had the longest you are sending this to?
Since I am posting this on my Multiply page, as well as the notecard in SL, I would have to say my Gin-Gin. We were in the same kindergarten class together

Favourite smells?
Rain, fresh fruit, onions and garlic in olive oil on the stove, roses, red wine, coffee, newborn babies. If I go on, I'm gonna need pages and pages!

Who inspires you?
I like Lea's answer- my children

What are you afraid of?
Agreeing with Lea again- losing someone that I love.

Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers?
Cheeseburgers, but I don't mind if they're a bit spicy

Favourite car?
I'm leaving the first part of Lea's answer, because that is what the bottom line is, "the one that gets me from point A to point B".
For wow factor, like, what would I get if money were no object? I love the Dodge Magnum.

Favourite cat breed?
Whatever breed I used to have. They were good little kitty cats.

Number of keys on your key ring?
Three keys and a nail clipper.

The last movie we watched was actually Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. XP

Your favorite days of the year are my least favorites for the same reasons. HA.

I'm so confused.....

What is Second Life and why are you taking inventory of it? Were you reincarnated or something? Toldya I'm confused!

And what's the difference between dyeing and coloring your hair????

Other than being confused...great answers!! LOL

How do you keep up?

Second Life is a 3D world where you can create an avatar and walk around and talk to people, dress up your avatar, build things like houses, furniture, etc, and basically play dolls while chatting to friends :)

Inventory is where you keep stock of all the items you have acquired over time: outfits, hair, toys (I have a little cheeseburger car I drive around in), pets (I have a horsey), weapons (like my bow and arrow, did I mention I'm a knight?) and so forth.

It's not for everyone; it places a huge demand on your computer while you're playing, but it is LOADS of fun!!!

It tells you how many items are in your inventory. I only have about 6000 in mine, but then, I'm not a big shopper, and tend to wear the same outfits over and over ;)

MamaDi and Katha, however? Now they're shopaholics :D

Alright, I do remember hearing about this now that you describe it.

I'm afraid the real world life is enough for me to keep up with, not sure I could handle a second life!

Second Life is better. You can fly and lift houses and telelport to wherever you wish to go ;)

Second life is an online game. There is no winning or losing. The best way I can describe it, is that it is a social networking site in a way, and like playing glorified Barbies, in another way, only the arms aren't as stiff as I remember Barbie's arms being. *LOL* (And you get dress your avatar up with just a few clicks of the mouse.)
You make yourself an avatar, then walk around, dance, sit around a bonfire and talk, pretty much anything you can do in RL, you can do in SL.

(I actually have a rather small inventory compared to some people.)
**cough cough... QW ..cough cough...over 30,000...cough cough*
I'll post a picture, so you get get an idea of what the world looks like. Now, to find a good one...
